Today is full of noise – music, proclamation and response, lots (and lots!) of words, church bells…and it’s all great. I get it, indeed, I join in!
But at the heart of it all is a great silence. Whatever happened in that tomb, it happened in the quiet, in the hidden, without trumpets and organ music, without the choirs of angels, without shouts of hallelujah…
It was quiet and secret and still.
I want to learn to keep Easter in the quiet places, discover the silence of the resurrection, let the stillness be the new life….
