An empty day

It is an empty day.

Because today, the cave is filled.

Today I wait.

Because there is nothing I can do.

Yesterday, I could be angry, mourn, shout, watch.

Tomorrow, I will celebrate.

Today I wait.

To do nothing, to be able to do nothing, to have no power, is to be reminded that I am not God.

And today, I do not know that God knows that God is God.

And so it is an empty day.

Then temptation is to fill it with tomorrow.

Or to refuse it and stay in yesterday.

To face emptiness, to let it do its work, that is hard work….

Today is an empty day.
