Decisions

I am notorious for not liking to take decisions…there’s always more to consider, there are always more issues to bring into the discussion, it is always too early to decide.

But sometimes that’s not good enough.

I’ve just had the privilege of taking part in a church meeting that was all it should, or could be. We were well chaired by Skilled Statesman, and many people spoke well, passionately and respectfully.

And we came to a conclusion.

Some find it hard to live with.

That hurts. Some people whom I care for, and am charged with the pastoral care of, are distressed, and have big questions to ask.

I know we had to have the discussion, and we did it well.

But today, now, here, I am sad.
